The Senior Vice President of Marketing will report to the CEO as a key member of the company’s executive team. This role will be responsible for developing a marketing vision and strategic brand identity for UberMedia and its products including Chime.in, Echofon and UberSocial. The role will also be responsible for creating and executing programs to drive user acquisition and engagement on all platforms. Working closely with engineering, product development and business development, this individual will roll out marketing efforts that are targeted and effective.  A primary focus of the Senior Vice President of Marketing role will be to lead a team of marketing and creative professionals that are responsible for developing and maintaining UberMedia’s brands through web site design, email marketing and the development of collateral and other assets.

Key Position Accountabilities

Market Strategy: Lead collaborative effort to devise and execute winning marketing and corporate strategies. Provide thought leadership among executive staff on strategic direction, issues and initiatives related to brand, marketing, user acquisition and engagement.   Provide strategic planning and research including corporate positioning, market and competitive analysis, and customer segment selection and penetration plans.

Marketing Communications: Brand and Market Awareness. Create broad awareness of Chime.In, Echofon and UberSocial through messaging, public relations, speaking engagements, events, trade shows, social media and community relations.  Grow these brands by reinforcing the values of the company in all users, partners and prospect interactions.

Online Marketing:  Develop and execute online marketing and customer acquisition strategies. Increase website traffic by overseeing initiatives in SEO, SEM, social media marketing, WOM marketing, email campaigns, affiliates, etc.  Continually improve processes in online marketing to drive maximum user acquisition at lowest cost.

Roadmap and Analytics: Own the planning for all marketing activities and campaigns.  Manage an annual marketing calendar and provide excellent service to members and other company departments.  Create a dashboard of key performance analytics, which will be measured and reported on a regular basis.

Creative Services: Manage a talented team of creative professionals who serve multiple departments in designing and developing the company’s look and feel, website page designs, advertising, and digital and paper collateral materials.

Requirements

  • At least 10 years’ experience with top-performing marketing organizations.  Strong preference for experience in social media and/or internet companies.
  • Ability to develop and lead a high performing team of marketing professionals.
  • Strong experience in transcending traditional means of marketing and adopting new approaches to running online marketing campaigns on limited capital.
  • Must possess creative problem solving abilities and be able to create creative solutions where more can be done with less in terms of resources.
  • Must be a strong believer of various mainstream and cutting edge social media platforms. A strong personal social media brand on Twitter, Linkedin, Google + or FB is especially valuable.
  • Experience in leading and implementing marketing best practices in a startup environment is strongly preferred.
  • Must be able to work in a fluid and fast-paced environment with a strong executive team
