Understanding Tourists with Mobile Location Data
This case study uses mobile location data to evaluate the consumer profiles of San Diego County tourists and compares that to the residents of the county to get a better idea of the tourism industry in that region. Visits identified in airports, interstates, and military bases were excluded from this analysis in order to remove people only traveling through San Diego County or in the county because they are stationed there.
